Tournament Playing Rules / Details

General Tournament Rules

1. No Food, Drinks, Coolers, Sunflower Seeds, Bubble Gun, or Tobacco of any kind will be permitted into the Park. A full concession will be open for your convenience.

2. NO Pets allowed in the Park.

3. Time Limits for this weekend are as follows:

(7U/8U) - 1 Hour and 30 Minutes

(9U-14U) - 1 Hour and 45 Minutes

(Time limits are (NOT Drop Dead) & Pool Play Games Can end in a tie)

(Bracket Play Championship Games are the ONLY games that will NOT have a Time Limit)! 

4. Innings: ALL Games will be played at the following:

• 7U/8U - 11U (6 Innings)

• 12U - 14U (7 Innings)

5. Umpires: Umpires are paid at the plate by the team.

• 7U/8U will have 1 Umpire for all Tournament Games at a Per Team/Per Game Cost of $30.
• 9U & 10U will have 1 Umpire for all Tournament Games at a Per Team/Per Game Cost of $35.
• 11U & 12U will have 1 Umpire for all Tournament Games at a Per Team/Per Game Cost of $40.
• 13U will have 1 Umpire for all Pool Play Games at a Per Team/Per Game Cost of $40 and 2 Umpires for all Bracket Play Games at a Per Team/Per Game Cost of $80.
• 14U will have 2 Umpires for all Tournament Games at a Per Team/Per Game Cost of $80.

6. Game Balls: Each Team to provide (1) New Game Ball per game. Any Additional Backup Balls needed due to teams not fetching Foul Balls or Home Run Balls will be provided by the teams.

7. Gate Fee: (3) Coaches, Players, and Children 15 and under are FREE. Park Specific Spectator Fees are listed below.

Prospect Fields @ Crawford Woods Park: $10 Spectator Fee (16 Years & Older)

OC Sports park: $10 Spectator Fee (16 Years & Older)

Batesville Sports Park: $300 Team Spectator Fee

(Additional Information will be sent out via email to all teams regarding this procedure)

8. Bat Rules: USSSA, USA, and Wood Bats ARE Permitted for ALL MVP Tournament Events unless otherwise specified in this email. The Following Bat Drop Weights Rules are Permitted and Listed below by Age Division.

7U/8U - 12U (ALL Drops are Permitted)

13U (-8, -5, -3 Drops are Permitted)

14U (-5, -3 Drops are Permitted)

9. Run Rules: 12-10-8 @ Innings 3-4-5

10. Awards: All 1st & 2nd Place Teams in each Division will receive Champions & Finalist Rings.

11. Pitching Rules: We DO NOT Track Pitch Count, Innings, or Outs in MVP tournaments. We hope that all coaches are responsible enough to follow such Guidelines as USA Baseball has put out there for us to follow.

12. 7U/8U - A Max of 8 Runs allowed per inning per team.

13. We follow the same rules as USSSA baseball with the exceptions listed listed within within. You can find these rules by visiting: Tournament Rules

14. Tie Breakers

• Record
• Head 2 Head (2 Team’s Only)
• Run Differential (Max of 8 per Game)
• Runs Allowed
• Runs Scored
• Coin Toss

15. No Show/Forfeit: Any team that No Shows/Forfeits any game will be removed from the remainder of the tournament along with any future registered events without receiving a refund.

Normal Disclaimer... In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to Weather, Team Forfeit, Team Withdrawal, etc. The tournament director reserves the right to modify the tournament format or change venue in order to proceed with the tournament.
